You Can Homeschool For Free or Little to Nothing

After Mike and I made the decision to homeschool, I started looking at homeschool curriculums and their prices and I was in shock. So I wondered if I could homeschool for free and started doing a little research.

Yes, you can homeschool for free. These days there are so many free resources out there for you to use. Some of them are your local library, YouTube, free online curriculums, free printable worksheets, Google fun and interesting topics to study, borrow old homeschool books from other homeschool families and field trips.

Homeschooling does not have to cost an arm and a leg. There are so many free resources out there that you can homeschool for free. Here are some that I found while doing a little research.

5 Free Homeschool Websites

Here are 5 Free Homeschool Website that you many want to look into to see which best fits your needs.

1. Khan Academy – Khan Academy offers free classes in math, science, computer programming, history, art history, economics, and so much more. The also offer instructional videos and you own learning dashboard. Khan Academy is a nonprofit organization.

2. Easy Peasy All-in-One Homeschool – Easy Peasy All-in-One or EP is there to help homeschool families. They want to help by providing a program that fits your families needs.

3. K12 – The K12 program allows public school child to do school at home.

4. An Old-Fashinoned Education – An Old-Fashioned Education provides free homeschool curriculums, literature and text books to help homeschool families.

5. Ambleside Online  – Ambleside Online offer a Charlotte Mason style free homeschool curriculum.

Free Homeschool Printable Resources

There are so many website that offer Free Homeschool Printable resources to fit your every homeschool need. Here are just a few website to get you started.

  • K12Reader.com – K12reader.com offers FREE printable worksheets for a wide variety of subjects. I have used their free spelling curriculum for years!  

Free or Cheap Field Trips

Field trips are one of my favorite parts of homeschooling. The children get to learn and have fun at the same time. Field trips do not have to cost an arm and a leg. Here is a list of fun and inexpensive Homeschool Field Trip ideas.

  • Museums – they sometimes offer discounts to homeschoolers during weekday school hours, so check with your local museums to ask about homeschool field trip rates
